CNC Machine Tending with Our DMR-Series
Boost your CNC machining productivity with our DMR-3 Machine tending robot. What sets the DMR-3 apart? Most robotic cells are built for same piece production. The DMR is optimized for short-run production or single run pieces. The -(dash)three(3) is our setup for running three CNC machines, which you’ll see in the video.
The DMR-3, shown in the video is capable of handling 44 different materials based on size and type with one operator.
Our robot cell in the video includes a pallet mode that can handle materials sized up to 16 inches cubed and up to 150 lbs.

About Us
CNC automation for high-mix, low-volume production
CNC machining automation is typically geared towards high volume production. This is where we’re different. Distinctive Machine Robotics is a team of machinists who was in search of a robotic CNC machining solution for our own machine shop. The challenge was, we could only find robotics solutions that were geared toward high volume machining – producing many multiples of the same part.
Our focus as a machine shop is on smaller production runs, or even one-offs. We searched and searched for a CNC robotics solution for our machine shop and just couldn’t find one. So we built our own.
